Home buyers who have purchased fixer-uppers are sometimes confronted with squeaks and creaks that are part of the natural aging process of a home, or is it? Late at night it is hard to keep your mind from wandering to the paranormal when you hear those old shifty noises. Well, if you have a story of a close encounter with someone or something from the “other side” we have good news. Now your spooky experience may pay off. Just in time for Halloween; OldHouseWeb, a how-to site offering ideas and resources to old house enthusiasts and new home hunters, has launched a fun seasonal contest that invites new and existing site fans to share a ghostly tale about their home or another spooky encounter with its official OldHouseWeb.com Ghost Stories contest.

They want to engage with their readers in an entertaining way and hear more about their experiences whether they’re frightening or funny.
